The person who asks most runs out first
On Business+, each member gets their own 15 Slackbot messages a week. The ops lead who fields everyone's requests can be out by Wednesday, and then they can't message Slackbot again until Monday.
Updated October 21, 2026
Slackbot comes with Slack's Business+ plan, and it's fine until one of three things happens: your busiest person runs out of messages by midweek, a client in a shared channel needs an answer, or part of the team works in Microsoft Teams. Dash handles all three as one AI teammate your whole workspace shares.
Why teams look elsewhere
On Business+, each member gets their own 15 Slackbot messages a week. The ops lead who fields everyone's requests can be out by Wednesday, and then they can't message Slackbot again until Monday.
A morning report, a midday check and an end-of-day summary use up all three. After that, Slackbot asks if you'd like to run the rest by hand.
Slack doesn't give guests or Frontline Members access to Slackbot. So if clients, contractors or your bookkeeper work with you as guests in shared channels, they can't ask it anything, and neither can field staff set up as Frontline Members.
Slackbot only works in Slack. If some of your team is on Microsoft Teams, or someone in the field works by text from their phone, Slackbot can't help them.
The full list
Dash and Viktor charge one price for the whole workspace. Claude Tag, @ChatGPT, Lindy and Dust charge per seat.
Best for: Small teams that run the business in chat, with no IT team
Anyone in your workspace can ask Dash in a Slack or Microsoft Teams channel, by text or in web chat. Everyone draws on one shared credit balance, so nobody runs out before their teammates do. Scheduled tasks run when you set them, whether that's every 6 hours or the first of the month, and an admin decides whether Dash answers guests. It works across 3,000+ tools. By default, sending email, posting publicly, writing to a CRM or spending money waits until someone approves it.
Watch for: Dash is its own install, separate from your Slack plan.

Free credits to start with no credit card, then one shared plan for the whole workspace with no per-seat fees. Unused credits roll over while your plan is active.

Viktor answers in Slack DMs, mentions and threads, and in Teams. Admins can set any tool to need approval, and Viktor says payments, code pushes and customer emails wait for an approval card.
Watch for: Unused monthly plan credits roll over for one month only.

Team is $100 a month for 40,000 credits, shared across the whole workspace with no per-seat charges. A free tier includes up to $100 in credits.

Tag @Claude in a thread or channel it has joined, or send it a DM. It can follow standing instructions and post on its own, and your personal connectors ask before they act.
Watch for: It's a public beta and works only in Slack today. Microsoft Teams is listed as coming soon.

On ChatGPT Business, Edu and Enterprise, an admin can add @ChatGPT to Slack or Microsoft Teams. In Slack, you mention it in the channels it's been added to. It works through its own account, and your personal apps ask before it uses them.
Watch for: Guests can't use it, and it doesn't work in Slack Connect channels.

Business is $25 per seat a month, or $20 billed annually, with a 2-seat minimum. @ChatGPT also needs workspace credits.

Lindy works in Slack threads and mentions and runs scheduled routines. By default, anything that reaches outside Lindy, such as sending an email or updating a ticket, waits for approval.
Watch for: Anyone who mentions Lindy in Slack takes a paid seat after a 7-day trial.
Best for: A platform for building your own agents and calling them in Slack
Mention @Dust in a channel or thread, or send it a DM, and it replies in the thread. You can set tool actions to need approval, and the agent waits until you respond.
Watch for: Each seat's credits stay with that seat and don't pool across the team.

Slackbot's limits are from Slack's help center and Slackbot page as of October 21, 2026. Every other tool's prices and features are from its own pricing and help pages as of October 20 and 21, 2026. Prices are list prices before usage credits. We left out workflow builders and enterprise search tools.
Dash is our product, so yes, we put it first. We built it for exactly the small teams these limits hit.
FAQ
On Business+, each member can send 15 messages to Slackbot per week, and the count resets at 12 a.m. Monday in your time zone. Free and Pro get Slackbot only as a trial or preview, and that allowance doesn't reset unless you upgrade. Enterprise+ has no weekly or lifetime limit.
No, guests and Frontline Members don't get Slackbot. In Dash, a workspace admin picks what happens in channels with guests or Slack Connect members: Dash doesn't reply, replies with limited access, or replies with full access.
Move to Enterprise+ or pay for extra use with Salesforce Flex Credits. Flex Credits need a Salesforce organization connected to your Slack workspace, and both a Slack workspace admin and a Salesforce admin have to turn them on.
No. Slack AI is the AI built into paid Slack plans, such as summaries, recaps and search answers. Slackbot is the AI agent you message and hand tasks to.
