Understand credits and billing
Dash runs on credits. Every conversation, scheduled task, and tool call consumes credits from your workspace’s balance. You start with free credits, earn more by connecting tools, and can buy top-ups when you need them.
Your wallet
Section titled “Your wallet”The Wallet page is where you manage everything billing-related. Open it at app.dashpup.ai and click Wallet in the sidebar.
You’ll see:
- Balance — how many credits you have right now, with a button to buy more.
- Plan — your current subscription, with a link to manage it (upgrade, downgrade, update payment method, view invoices).
- Earn free credits — progress toward free credit grants.
- Auto-recharge — optional top-ups that fire when your balance gets low.
- Usage limits — caps you can set to control spending.
- Activity — a ledger of every credit transaction (earned, spent, bought, expired).
You can also ask Dash directly:
@Dash what plan are we on?
@Dash what’s our credit balance?
How credits work
Section titled “How credits work”Your workspace has two kinds of credits:
- Subscription credits come with your plan each billing cycle. They roll over as long as your subscription stays active. If you cancel, unused subscription credits are lost.
- Top-up credits are purchased separately. They never expire, regardless of your subscription status.
When Dash processes a conversation or runs a scheduled task, it draws from subscription credits first. Top-up credits are only used once subscription credits are exhausted.
Earn free credits
Section titled “Earn free credits”Dash gives you free credits in two ways:
- Seed credits — every new workspace starts with a batch of free credits so you can try Dash without buying anything.
- Tool-connect grants — each time you connect a new app (Gmail, HubSpot, Jira, etc.), your workspace earns a grant of credits. You can earn grants for multiple tools, up to a cap.
A referral program is coming soon.
You can track your progress on the Earn free credits section of the Wallet page. It shows which grants you’ve claimed, how many tools you’ve connected, and how close you are to the cap.
Buy more credits
Section titled “Buy more credits”When you need more credits, click Buy credits on the Wallet page. Top-up credits are added to your balance immediately and never expire.
You must have an active subscription to purchase top-ups.
If you have a promotion code (from an event, a partner, or a Dash offer), enter it on the checkout page. The code field appears automatically and the discount applies to your purchase.
Auto-recharge
Section titled “Auto-recharge”Instead of buying credits manually, you can set up auto-recharge. When your balance drops below a threshold you choose, Dash automatically tops up with a set amount.
Configure this in the Auto-recharge section of the Wallet page. Only admins can enable or change auto-recharge settings.
What consumes credits
Section titled “What consumes credits”| Activity | Consumes credits? |
|---|---|
| Interactive conversations (Slack, Teams, web, Chrome extension) | Yes |
| Scheduled task runs | Yes |
| Heartbeat suggestions | No |
| Org chart inference | No |
| Memory moderation | No |
The number of credits a conversation uses depends on the model, the length of the conversation, and the tools involved. Heavier models and longer conversations cost more.
